The graduate program in Economics of UFBA (PPGE/UFBA) has been funded with resources regularly from following research agencies and foundations:

- CNPJ 00.889.834/0001-08-FOUNDATION FOR THE COORDINATION OF HIGH-LEVEL PERSONNEL-CAPES
- CNPJ 33.654.831/0001-36-NATIONAL COUNCIL FOR SCIENTIFIC and TECHNOLOGICAL DEVELOPMENT-CNPq
In addition to these three funding institutions, the program also has occasional collaborations of resources in the form of scholarships quotas of social demand system provided by Rectory of UFBA.
The resources of CAPES are summarized the sources of PROAP-Program of graduation assistance, which in 2014 and 2015 totalled, respectively, the amount of R$ 64,000,00 (64,000 reais) and are intended to finance costs of displacements of Participants in newsstands of dissertation and doctoral defenses, participation of faculty and students in scientific events, costs of administration and acquisition of materials and passages and daily in general. Both CAPES and CNPq offer regular and permanent quotas for scholarships to regular students of the program. In addition, both the PPGE and its individual professors can participate in call notices consisting of academic incentive plans to finance research and development activities, extension and participation in events Scientific.
